The Federal Reserve Bank, to preserve its own power, is engaged in a lawsuit to prevent disclosure over what banks received bailout funds, along with how much they received.
Since the Fed controls currency, in effect, your government is engaged in a fight to NOT tell you who the gave YOUR money to.
The Fed is joined in its bid to overturn Preska’s order by the Clearing House Association LLC, an industry-owned group in New York that processes payments between banks. The group assailed the judge’s decision for what it said were legal errors, such as applying the wrong standard in weighing the exception to FOIA.
The group includes ABN Amro Bank NV, a unit of Royal Bank of Scotland Plc, Bank of America Corp., The Bank of New York Mellon Corp., Citigroup Inc., Deutsche Bank AG, HSBC Holdings Plc, JPMorgan Chase & Co., US Bancorp and Wells Fargo & Co.

This is about hiding the direct theft of your tax dollars. Tell your representatives that you are alarmed that this kind of double dealing is aided by your government. Two trillion dollars was disbursed to private banks under the recovery programs created by President G.W. Bush and his successor Barack Obama. Information regarding who received the money and how much they were given should be released to the public. This is especially important given these same bank’s lack of fair play for their own customers, the same ones who bailed them out. You must oppose the Federal Reserve Bank’s efforts, in league with the very banks who received assistance from the public, to block access to this information.
You have sworn to uphold the constitution of the United States. Do it. Apply your most diligent efforts to stop the Federal Bank’s obstruction of the public’s right to know.
