Cell Phone Numbers Go Public This Month

All cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales calls. You will be charged for these calls.

To prevent this, call the the National Do Not Call List from your cell phone at 888-382-1222. Registering will block calls to your number for five years. You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked. You cannot call from a different phone number.

Governor’s Office of the Small Business Advocate Releases Study Of Costs of State Regulation To Small Businesses In California

Study Provides Policy Makers With Tools to Encourage Small Business Growth In California

The Governor’s Office of the Small Business Advocate today released a study of the aggregate cost of state regulation to small businesses in California. The study was commissioned by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2006 when he signed Assembly Bill 2330 by Assemblyman Juan Arambula (I-Fresno) and was completed by Sanjay Varshney Ph.D., the Dean of Business Administration at California State University, Sacramento, and Dennis Tootelian Ph.D., Director of the Center for Small Business at the same school.

We’re Screwed | “New York Post” – Yes Men

Regardless of how you may feel about global warming, this is a brilliant piece of guerilla marketing. The Yes Men, an environmental activist group, created a false edition of the New York Post and packed it full of information about how global warming will effect New York directly.

They didn’t stop there. They also printed a number of the fake newspapers and delivered them to newsstands.

At last report, the real New York Post wasn’t taking too kindly to the spoof.
